The
mission of DEAR is to continually review:
- The
impact of inflation and resulting loss of purchasing power of all beneficiaries
of The Detroit Edison Company Employee's Retirement Plan and The Michigan
Consolidated Employee's Retirement Plan.
- The
periodic changes made to said plan but not applied to previous beneficiaries
regardless of their date of retirement.
- The
Detroit Edison Health Care and Group Life Insurance Plan with emphasis on
shared cost of all Surviving Spouses of the medical portion of this plan.
- To
protect against the erosion of retired employee benefits.
